iOS 14.5 is HERE. What's new

The iOS 14.5 is already launched and many people even download and start using it. The update size is almost 2 GB and I get this update soon after its announced. But before posting the blog I want to use the feature of update myself. This update is for all iPhones till iPhone 1st Gen. Its really a big update and let's get started

1. Unlock iPhone with Apple Watch

Its pretty much self explanatory. So now user can securely and effortlessly unlock iPhone with the Apple Watch while attempting to use face ID while wearing a mask. As you know that Covid-19 Pandemic is far from over so its really difficult to unlock iPhone using face ID as most of time it didn't recognize the user but now the user can use the apple watch to unlock his/her iPhone

2. New and improved Siri Voice

As you know that apple has Siri the virtual assistant that help user in any best way possible. In this update new voices are added earlier there are 1-2 voices that Siri uses to speak but now it has multiple new voices. The new Siri voices uses Neural Text to Speech technology for an incredible natural sound.

3. App Tracking Transparency

Well this feature I really want to have on my phone as the iPhone has already launched it so I'm hoping Google also launch a feature something like this. Well feature basically stop any application that tries to track you. As you know that many apps tries to track you to show you personalized ads based on your data collected. Almost any company that shows ads on its app will track you like Facebook or Instagram. Due to this feature there is a serious clash b/w apple and Facebook. Check full information here.

4. New Emoji

Well there are lots of addition of new emoji includes a beard women, injection, headphone etc.

5. Report incident in Apple Maps

Well this feature actually is quite late on iPhone as Google maps got this feature a long time ago but all I can say is better late than never. This feature is basically for reporting an incident like accident or collision or road closure etc. This information about incident will be visible to apple map users.

That's all for today. Thanks for reading. If I did some mistake or if you have any suggestion for my blogs do let me know in comments below

Starting with the visual changes Xiaomi really did the great job. the company claims app new launch and close animation are more fast then before. Dark Mode 2.0 is another important addition that brings wallpaper dimming and font adjustment to make text easier to read and reduce eye strain.

Privacy is always the point of concern for many users and Xiaomi also do kept in mind. With MIUI 12 the privacy management is also improved which keep track of the application behavior and also show the apps that abuse privacy of user. Not only this Xiaomi also did fine work in security as well by implementing new virtual ID security protocol that simply protects prevents suspicious apps from gaining access to user vital information.

Mi Health is another feature in MIUI 12 which is now officially available. It promises improved activity tracking thanks to new AI algorithms and also offers sleep tracking without any additional devices, as it only requires placing the phone under your pillow.

Whatsapp END support for these phone

The official end date for the support for these versions will be on 1st February 2020. This means that WhatsApp users that fail to update their phone’s system version might have their services cut after the specified date.
WhatsApp is the world’s most popular messaging platform, boasting 1.5 billion regular users. The free app is one of the most secure available, due to the incorporation of end-to-end encryption. And another reason for WhatsApp's enduring popularity is the regular introduction of new features, such as stickers and group calls.
The Facebook owned  platform claimed it was initiating this move simply because older mobile operating system no longer support the kind of features and capabilities they tend to include in the messaging application.
Here are some prominent phones that WhatsApp will cease their support on:

1. iPhone 4

2. Google Nexus S

3. Samsung Galaxy S

4. Samsung Google Nexus S

5. Lumia 650
6. Nokia 206 Single SIM and dual SIM models
7. Nokia 208
8. Nokia 301 Single SIM and dual SIM Chat Edition
9. Nokia 515 Preinstalled WhatsApp New
10. Nokia Asha 201
11. Nokia Asha 205 Chat Edition
12. Nokia Asha 210
13. Nokia Asha 230 Single SIM and dual SIM models
14. Nokia Asha 300
15. Nokia Asha 302
16 Nokia Asha 303
17 Nokia Asha 305
18 Nokia Asha 306
19 Nokia Asha 308
20 Nokia Asha 309
21 Nokia Asha 310
22 Nokia Asha 311

WhatsApp originally announced the news back in 2016 with a range of devices including BlackBerry, Windows phone and some Apple iPhones to be blocked later that year.
But the deadline was then extended for phones running Apple's iOS 7 and Android versions 2.3.7, and these will now support WhatsApp until February 1, 2020.
It should be noted that all windows phones will also cease to receive support for their WhatsApp app. To put it simply: no matter how new your windows phone is, the messaging app will no longer support it. While iPhones is pretty straight forward with which phone will no be receiving support, Android and its open source is a bit tricky.

Below is the list of mobile platforms that will no longer be supported at the beginning of 2017

  • Android : Android 2.1 and 2.2
  • Windows : Windows Phone 7
  • iPhone: 3GS/ iOS 6

iOS 13 hidden features

Apple unveils new iPhones every year, but with them comes something much more exciting: a new version of Cupertino's mobile operating system that powers its new devices and adds features to older iOS devices; iOS 13 works on all iPhones back to the 6s and SE.
There are lots of cool new things in iOS 13, many announced by Apple at its Worldwide Developer Conference. That includes dark mode (finally), the ability to sign in with Apple using anonymized email addresses, enhanced video editing, audio sharing on AirPods, and revamped apps and abilities for Reminders, Apple Maps, Mail, Memoji, and Siri Shortcuts.
But what about the new stuff in iOS 13 that Apple has barely talked? We've uncovered several tricks all iOS power-users will want to know.

Multitask With Apple CarPlay

If you're using Apple CarPlay, iOS 13 adds a new look to the dashboard interface, including dark mode, so your in-car display mimics the settings you selected in Settings > Display & Brightness > Appearance.
The dash can also now show info from more than one app. It'll default to showing your location on Apple Maps (even if you prefer Waze or Google Maps for navigation), with a button to instantly turn on GPS directions to get home, buttons for appropriate devices like a smart home garage door opener, and a smaller tile for stopping/starting audio.
That means no more switching apps to stop music while you navigate. Plus, you can see album art thumbnails with music from supported music-streaming services, including Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music, even Audible.
The interfaces for phone and messages are also updated. And you can view your day's appointments (and only that day's appointments) in the Calendar app. Best of all: if someone else uses your phone while it's connected to CarPlay, the app they launch no longer takes over the dashboard. So kids fighting for music control on your phone doesn't have to interrupt navigation anymore.

Don't Charge to 100 Percent Until Dawn

You're not going to overload your iPhone battery by charging it all night as you sleep, but it doesn't take long for it to get to 100 percent. And there's no reason for the phone to trickle-charge all night after that. Apple's solution: go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health and turn on Optimized Battery Charging. It learns how you charge and will set up a routine of charging your phone only to 80 percent until the time right before it knows you'll wake, at which point it'll up it to 100.

Use 3 Fingers to Undo

I like to think no one uses the "shake to undo" option on an iPhone, because it could theoretically undo so much. (You can and should turn it off in Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Shake to Undo.) Now iOS 13 has a better way: Double tap three fingers to undo. You may also triple finger swipe left for the same effect, then triple finger to the right to redo it.

Drag the Cursor All Around

There have always been ways to move the cursor around in iOS to start typing in a new spot. The best used to be holding down the space bar on the virtual keyboard until it became a sort of virtual trackpad. iOS 13 still supports that, but does it one better: simply touch the cursor and drag it wherever you like.
You can also tap in a word on screen to drop the cursor right in the middle of the letters, something that was impossible in previous versions of iOS.

Swipe-Type on Apple's Keyboard

Not that you need this, as it's available on almost every other third-party iPhone keyboard, but if you only use Apple's built-in keyboard, it now supports what's called QuickPath, which is a fancy name for swipe-based typing. Never lift a finger again to scrawl out a message. It's especially nice on an iPad (with the new iPadOS) where you can shrink the keyboard down to iPhone size and swipe around.

Apple iOS 13: These features will ‘change’ your iPhones and iPads soon

Apple is set to launch the next version of iOS, its operating system for iPhones and iPad. To be called iOS 13, Apple will showcase the upcoming version of the operating system at its annual developer's conference, Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). The WWDC 2019 will starts on June 3 and will run through June 7. Rumours and speculations have been doing rounds on the internet about the likely features that Apple is expected to introduce in iOS 13. Here are some of the key features and enhancements that are likely to come to your iPhone's and iPad's with iOS13.

  • Dark Mode
Apple may finally bring Dark Mode with iOS 13. One of the much-rumoured features, the Dark Mode is supposed to change the look of the entire UI from White to Dark Gray-ish tone or Black. The mode is claimed to be easier on users' eyes.
  • A dedicated Sleep Mode

Speculations also suggest that Apple may introduce a new Sleep Mode in iOS13. Activating the mode, users won’t get any notifications until a set time in the morning

  • Multiple user accounts on iPad for personalised access

Apple is also expected to introduce multiple accounts support with iOS 13. This means multiple users can use the same iPads without changing the settings and apps they are using.

  • Single new app for 'Find my Friends and Find my Phone'

The 'Find my Friends' and 'Find my iPhone' services may merge into a single app with iOS 13. It is also rumoured to feature ‘find network’ to let Apple devices be tracked even when there’s no Wi-Fi or cellular network.

  • Updated Maps app for easy navigation setting feature

The Maps app could also get an update in iOS 13 wherein it could get easy access options to see navigation to places visited frequently. You can see this in Google Maps mostly in the form of ‘Home’ and ‘Work’ quick locations.

  • Stock keyboard finally getting swipe gesture

Several third-party Android keyboards and Google’s Gboard support swipe gestures but it’s still to debut in Apple’s stock iOS keyboard. iOS 13 could make it a reality. This may prove to be an easy and time-saving way of typing.

  • New Emojis

Like every year, we will probably see new emojis coming to iPhones with iOS 13. The Unicode consortium has already finalised the emoji characters. Some include Juice Box, falafel, people holding hands, otter, waffle, sloth and more.

Android V/S iOS

Hello Guys!!!

As we all know the competition between an android and ios is very far from end. As both carries their own benefits and problems.

We know that an iOS device having 2GB RAM (hangs less) is far more responsive that an android device having 4 GB RAM (Hangs more).

So let's differentiate between these operating systems to check which is best at what level. Let's begin

1. When we installing an application in android is consumes some space and also use RAM and when we delete(Uninstalled)the application stop using any resources of a phone. This concept is called Garbage Collection and is based on JAVA. But this concept itself uses resources as well that leads to hanging problem in an android based phone. And if a device have less RAM Like 1GB it make the phone almost unusable

Whereas iOS uses ARC (Automatic Reference Counting) which is based on Objective C Language It works like if any application is not in use it automatically discarded (stop) from using the resources. This mechanism uses less resources and increases overall performance of phone.

2.  Now let's talk about the UI (User Interface).
Android has different UI's like stock android (Used in android one devices), MIUI(used in Xiaomi phones), Color OS(used in OPPO devices), EMUI (used in Honor devices) and many more.

In android the UI uses same thread as other resources so basically all applications(Apps) including UI are running on a single thread. And also resources are also be used background also as Android gives more freedom to developers. And at one point of time it makes devices to stop unexpectedly and even crashing of some applications.

Whereas iOS uses a a separate thread for UI Which enables resources to be used by UI and Application separately and hence increases overall performance

3. In android APP management is a plus point as android developers have freedom to develop applications either professional or a non professional. So some time apps might cause memory leaks(Memory leaks can be defined as a situation where even after stopping application from running it can't able to free memory/resources)p

Whereas in iOS there is restriction for app developers that enables to permanent stopping to the problem for memory leaks and  hence it increases performance

4. The android is can be used with any phone hardware it doesn't matter.

But in iOS it can be used with its own manufactured hardware it can't be used be with any other hardware

Look I'm not saying the this battle is over as the both OS has its advantages and disadvantages.

So, I'm just conclude it by saying that the android is NOT the WORST and iOS is NOT the BEST either.
